MORNING
On the trail I encountered
A white girl, high school age, in running gear,
Further on, a black man, older, walking a dog.
The man said he was
blessed
When I asked how he
was.
I STARE DINTOO SPACE
Dandelions was rocking
bees.
Dogs was trampolining,
Blue and red heelers
trampolining.
There was a pair of
parrots.
I said to myself I
said
I didn’t know parrots
could take off their
Chonklas so fast and
aim like that,
From all cosmic angles.
